Funding your Education – A Career Investment

There are a variety of funding programs available in Canada to help support your education and career goals. At the NAU Canada Online, we believe there should be no barriers to higher education and our team of enrollment advisors and financial planners are here to help you navigate your options.

Tuition & Fees

Understanding how your fees and tuition are calculated is important to make sure you stay within your budget and make informed decisions when choosing, adding or dropping courses. NAU Canada Online academic fees are calculated differently for undergraduate and graduate students.
Undergraduate Tuition
Tuition is charged by the course and is calculated on a per-credit basis. While most courses are 4.5 credits, course credit values range from 0 to 5 credits.  Each credit costs $383.00 including a $20 fee.  Tuition does not include textbooks and supplies, students are provided a book list as they enroll in each course and may purchase their textbooks from the vendor of their choice.

Estimated Program Costs

Associates (AS) 90 credit hours – $34,470CAD (estimated time to finish – 5 Terms or 1.25 years)

Bachelors (BS) 180credit hours – $68,940CAD (estimated time to finish – 10 terms or 2.5-3 years)

Please Note: These costs are estimated. NAU Canada Online can and may increase tuition fees annually.

Transfer Credits & Prior Learning

Get Credit for Previous Education

Have you earned credits from another college or university? Do you already have a degree and want to earn an advanced degree? Up to 75% of these credits may transfer into a degree program at NAU.

Qualified Prior Learning Assessment

As a professional in your field, you have gained valuable experience, training, and real-world knowledge. For this reason, certificates, corporate training, business and professional experience may also be considered as transferable credits into an NAU degree program

Financial Aid & Student Loans

Canada Student Loans

Canada Student Loans are loans offered by the Government of Canada to help students pay for college and university education for “a designated college, university, or other post-secondary institution”. NAU Canada Online is listed on the International Master List of Designated Educational Institutions under National American University (code MPDZ). Canada Student Loan amounts and eligibility are determined by the student’s province or territory.

Scholarships, bursaries and grants

Scholarships are usually awarded based on academic merit or other achievements, rather than financial need. Bursaries and grants are based primarily on an individual’s financial needs, but may involve other selection criteria such as extracurricular activities, community involvement and leadership.

Private Loans

Many private banking institutions offer postsecondary education loans. These are very similar to other bank loans in that the borrower is expected to make monthly interest payments. In cases where students are deemed ineligible for government student loans but still need financial assistance to cover the costs of education, private financing options can fill the gap.
